Process Improvement and Business Excellence

Our deployment and development approach is executed from the top down.  Our approach includes advanced hands-on training courses for executives, management and leaders in both manufacturing and transactional environments. We customize our deployment and development strategy, so it is effective in small, medium and large size companies.  We team with top management as part of the implementation strategy in order to have partnered executives that embrace these methodologies and create the path to successful projects.  Our aggressive deployment initiative includes executive team training, support system design and implementation, champion / sponsor training, belt training and coaching. Although we will partner with the company for as long as needed, the implementation’s success is constrained to the firm providing leaders that can learn and convey the acquired knowledge and expertise throughout your organization. Our strategies will assist your company: Improve Quality and Customer Satisfaction Reduce Costs Maintain Low Prices

Six Sigma Project Management

Our six sigma project management framework allows project managers to successfully manage projects of varying sizes.  Our services will develop management skills and competencies within your organization.

Our approach can include the development of your own project management methodology, delivering project management training and coaching, conducting project audits, and providing consolidated project reporting and metrics for continuous monitoring.

Our goal is that your project management processes encourage and require the delivery of projects on time, within budget, and to an agreed-upon level of quality.  This is accomplished by deploying common terminology, processes and templates that provide a standard and measurable system that facilitates cross-functions and projects collaboration.

Methodologies

These methodologies where developed by manufacturing companies for manufacturing companies.  Nowadays these philosophies can and have been implemented in transactional environments and service companies.

We have found that it is best when these methodologies are combined depending on the project type.  For example, merging Lean with DMAIC, both reduces variation and improves quality at the same time that it reduces the amount of waste in the process.  Following the DMAIC methodology ensures that improvements made are monitored and controlled to ensure that they are maintained.

Six Sigma – DMAIC

The DMAIC process (define, measure, analyze, improve, control) is an improvement system for existing processes falling below specification and looking for incremental improvement.

Six Sigma simply means a measure of quality that strives for near perfection, as it is a Quality focused methodology that results in increased profits.  Six Sigma is a disciplined, data driven approach and methodology for eliminating defects in any process — from manufacturing to transactional and from product to service.

Six Sigma describes quantitatively how a process is performing.  To achieve Six Sigma, a process must not produce more than 3.4 defects per million opportunities.  A Six Sigma defect is defined as anything outside of customer specifications.

The fundamental objective of the Six Sigma methodology is the implementation of a measurement-based strategy that focuses on process improvement and variation reduction through the application of continuous improvement.

Design for Six Sigma – DMADV

The DMADV process (define, measure, analyze, design, verify) is an improvement system used to develop new processes or products at Six Sigma quality levels.  It can also be employed if a current process requires more than just incremental improvement.

Lean

Lean manufacturing is an initiative focused on eliminating all waste in manufacturing or transactional processes.  This initiative has been implemented in areas such as customer relations, product / process design, transactional processes, and site management. The lean manufacturing main goals are to reduce the human effort, reduce inventories, reduce the cycle time to complete processes, and less space to be highly responsive to customer’s needs at the same time of producing top quality products / services at the least expensive manner.
